The guide Mohammed was funny. But I can't help but think, if a female guide would have told us different stories. Also Mohammed had strong opinions about politics, religion and culture (ours and his), that he told as if they were the "truth". Also I'm not sure if Hercules' cave meets any kind of animal welfare standards that Civitatis may have (want a picture with a chained hawk or monkey on your shoulder?) There was enough free time after the tour, the lunch was good.

Translate this opinion into English.

Everything went very well, from the reception at the port to our arrival in Tangier. Our guide, Rachid, was very friendly, spoke excellent Spanish, and gave us great advice. The itinerary is very well organized, and we had plenty of time to enjoy everything. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

Highly recommended excursion. Fantastic experience in Tangier, with excellent value for money. Everything was very well organized, and above all, our guide Rashid was spectacular: attentive, friendly, and very professional. He made us thoroughly enjoy the visit and get to know Tangier in a very pleasant way. 100% recommended, especially if Rashid is your guide. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

A very good experience. Rachid met us at the port of Tangier and introduced us to our guide, Munir. There were seven of us friends, and they created a private group just for us. The guided tour was excellent. He took us on a minibus tour through different neighborhoods (American, Spanish, Italian, etc.) and then to the Cave of Hercules. Afterward, he gave us a tour of the Medina, explaining many points of interest. After lunch, he gave us free time until it was time to catch the ferry back. Opinion translated. Show original.

The ferry trip was great, the only downside is that some AML staff don't speak Spanish, which I find incredible working in Spain. The city of Tangier is very beautiful, the guides are very friendly, incredible views and houses on the mountainside, the people are generally very nice, for two euros you can ride a camel, food is included but they overcharged you for drinks. The only bad thing is that in the medina the vendors are very pushy, some a bit cocky. Apart from that, the excursion is very good, highly recommended. Opinion translated. Show original.

Translate this opinion into English.

The tour is highly recommended. We loved our guide, Abdul, who made it so much fun and enjoyable. We visited different places in Tangier with him, then sampled the local cuisine, and finally had time to relax and shop in the souk. Opinion translated. Show original.

No te daba tiempo. Agobiante.

You go on a coach tour, and they tell you a bit about the history of Tangier. You arrive at the Cave of Hercules, which you enter and finds like a circus, without any explanation. I didn't like it. For the other, larger cave, there was a very long queue, and it wasn't included. There wasn't enough time. The restaurant was rushed, and there was another bit of a show... After taking you through the alleyways of the Medina, they give you the option to buy argan oil at a cooperative. Free time, and then it's off to the ferry. Overwhelming.

Le reste était nickel Translate this opinion into English.

We really enjoyed the activity. Obviously, you have to expect several security checks and a lot of waiting, due to crossing into another country, so waiting for passports and everything is quite tedious. However, the tour itself went very well and we loved it. The dinner, the various presentations, the visits—it was all excellent. I must admit, though, that the persistence of the street vendors there marred the experience…it was simply dreadful. The rest was perfect. Opinion translated. Show original.

The trip was fantastic, we were very satisfied. The tour guide was extremely helpful, and we felt very well cared for and safe. The only thing I would change is more free time – instead of the visits to the cosmetic shop and the spinning mill. The organization was at a very high level. I recommend it to everyone, it's truly worth it

The excursion was excellent, both the woman who met us at the port of Tarifa and accompanied us to Tangier on the ferry, and the guide who accompanied and guided us throughout the visit in Tangier. The service and company were superb. The only downside we can mention is the food... it's not what it used to be. A few years ago we did the same excursion and it was much tastier.

We got off to a bad start because we didn't see the camels, and they told us we'd see them on the way back... but we didn't either. I should mention that the main focus of the tour is showing us the bazaar, which we spent almost an hour and a half exploring, and frankly... there's very little to see. The problem is, after the tour ended, they gave us "3 hours of free time"... in the same bazaar (!!!). In short, the tour is quite expensive, and when 60% of it revolves around the Tangier bazaar, which isn't the one in Istanbul... well, you're left wanting more.

Translate this opinion into English.

The activity was good but very focused on shopping and consumption. At the caves, they showed us one that's a shop, and with the time constraints, it's impossible to enter the other cave even if you pay. At the camel station, all you can do is ride; it's not even a pretty view. The stop at the pharmacy was focused on buying things, and little else. I would have liked a bit more cultural tourism. The guide was good. The food was tasty, but everything was rushed.

I think the experience was good; it had some good points and others that I would try to improve. As an excursion, the places we visited were great. I would remove the argan oil visit and allow more free time to explore the city. We were a bit rushed at some points, especially at the first stop where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. We weren't there for even two minutes—just get off, take a quick photo, and get back on the bus. The area deserves more time. Opinion translated. Show original.

The excursion was great, time flew by. We visited several places very quickly. They took us on a panoramic bus tour and stopped at the main points of interest in Tangier. You can ride a camel for €2. Lunch and sightseeing are included in the tour, and we had an hour and a quarter of free time for shopping. We parked right at the port of Tarifa; it costs €20 for the whole day, and the ferry is super fast and comfortable. Opinion translated. Show original.

We loved it! It's totally worth it. A little rushed, but we had a fantastic day. The guide was very dedicated and friendly, and everything was very well organized. I would remove the visit to the Hercules Caves. We were lucky to have free time and be able to return on a later boat. Opinion translated. Show original.

The camel rides and the stop at the cape were only five minutes long. The tour description mentions a visit to a palace and the Kasbah, but these weren't included, without explanation. And they dragged us into a demonstration of natural products for sale. That was unnecessary. Tangier itself was very beautiful.

Typical tourist visit, with visits to a perfumery and weaving workshops on commission with the guide, strolls through the Medina, and not much more. The guide had to give all the explanations in three languages because even though the group was small, there were several nationalities, which was quite tedious. The food was terrible, and the guide was entertaining.

I felt that the guide could have provided a better explanation of the history of Tangier; in fact, I don't think there was any, and I believe we missed out on visiting important things. Lastly, the food was very disappointing; the place was beautiful, but we were crammed into a space where we couldn't all fit, and we had to eat like sardines in a can. The food was really weak; the main dish was couscous with vegetables and chicken, but it practically only had couscous.

Sobra tiempo. La comida, mala. Aparte te cobran las bebidas. El guía, adecuado.

The provider serves various service providers; it's not exclusive to Civitatis. The process from the maritime station to departure for Tangier is unassisted. The city tour was average, nothing exceptional. There was plenty of time. The food was bad. Drinks are charged separately. The guide was adequate.
