Cies Islands Boat Transfer

If you're in Portonovo, you can't miss this fantastic opportunity to visit one of the most special places in northern Spain, the beautiful Cíes Islands. We'll head in a boat to the magnificent National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia.

After sailing along the Atlantic Ocean for half an hour, we'll arrive at the paradise islands of Cíes. There, we'll disembark and then you'll have the rest of the day free to enjoy the idyllic surroundings in the way you want.

Caribbean-style beaches, pure wild nature, and many more wonderful surprises await you in this reserve. You can spend the day enjoying the sun and taking a refreshing dip or, if the beach is not for you, you can also do some of the fantastic hiking routes that these islands offer.

The return time will be between 5:30 and 6:50 pm, depending on the permit granted by the Galician government that season.

Return Schedules

The return timetable from the Cíes Islands to the port of Portonovo is as follows:

June 13 to June 21, 2026: 5:30 pm
June 22 to August 15, 2026: 6:50 pm
August 16 to September 5, 2026: 5:30 pm

Xunta de Galicia Permit

Please bear in mind that we can only request your permit from the Xunta de Galicia during the 30 days before your visit. Once it's been processed, we'll send it to you.

Authorization for campers

If you decide to stay at a campsite on the Cíes Islands, the campsite itself must process the authorization, or cancel it in case you want to cancel. If the authorization is not canceled by the campsite, the shipping company cannot cancel your boat tickets.

Meaning, if you want to cancel your trip to the Cíes Islands, you must contact the campsite first. Then, once the campsite confirms that it has processed the cancellation of your authorization, you must contact the shipping company (within the stipulated refund period) so that they can cancel your boat tickets.

Also, once an authorization is associated with a shipping company, it cannot be linked to another shipping company. Therefore, if you cancel your reservation with this company, you'll have to cancel your authorization and then process a new authorization.
